As school are set to open in January after a long period of break, The Children Literacy Drive seeks to promote the habit of reading in children. In addressing the problems of lower percentages of children at the primary age level who cannot read, BOHF initiates this program to promote reading at early grade.
4-5 schools will be selected from two municipalities, the Ga Central Municipal Assembly and Ablekuma North. Each school will receive not less between 100-150 books. Additionally, a major event will be organized where resource persons will speak with parents and teachers on the topic, “Modeling Children amid Covid-19 in and out of the classrooms.”
Donation of books and learning materials especially story books will be donated to the selected schools on February 22 and 23. Few hours will be spent with children to teach them how to choose a proper career path. Focus will be placed on JHS 1-JHS 3 students.
