Gladys Asare is a nineteen years old, and aims to be a journalist in future. Gladys loves to read and write. Her favorite subjects in school is English and Mathematics. Gladys hails from Akuapem Mampong in the Eastern Region of Ghana. She lives with her Dad at New Aplaku, a low income community in Accra, the capital city of Ghana. Gladys’ father was previously a farmer but is now blind, and Gladys dropped out of school in order to take care of him. Currently, she sells chewing gum on the streets of Accra to raise income and take care of her father. She is finding life difficult as a result of the situation she finds herself.
