SUMMARY:Beacon of Hope Foundation Skill’s Training
DESCRIPTION:The BOHF Skills Training Program is part of our community development initiative. Participants of this program for the past three years has been unemployed young adults and single mothers from selected communities in Accra to enroll in one of several vocational training\, our program also provides basic instructions on entrepreneurship and managing finances. \nIn a city with high unemployment rate\, program equips graduates with the skills to establish stable financial independence through self-employment. With reliable income\, graduates can take care of themselves\, their families\, and their communities from harmful effects of poverty.

DESCRIPTION:Women and girl empowerment is vital in transforming communities and societies. Globally\, 1 in 3 women face physical or sexual abuse. Many a times these victims cannot voice or report issues of abuse to either law enforcement bodies\, friends or even church authorities. \nDue to this\, there is an increasing debate over the roles or interconnections in the roles between religion and the state in promoting the rights of women. \nThis exclusive panel discussion will be on the topic “Is there a common ground for religion and the state in protecting and promoting the rights of women.”
